March 2014 marked the first time Kitsilano Kitty’s Closet attended Vancouver Fashion Week. Over the past few months our online business has transitioned from strictly online sales through eBay and our boutique shop at KitsilanoKittysCloset.com to opening our workspace to stylists, stylebloggers, photographers and private shopping through appointments.
Through these relationships so many new opportunities presented themselves and we snatched them up. When our new friends and contacts posted give-away contests on Facebook for #VFW passes, we entered and won! A 1 Day Pass from Samantha Sito at Obsessive Trend Invitation fashion blog and two full VIP passes from the Retail Insider.
Attending 7 days in a row is actually harder than it seems! The Opening Gala was a breeze, fun, meeting and greeting, but at the end of night is was like – what do we wear tomorrow? So into TheCloset we went. Together, Courtney Ellerman (Collections Assistant at KKC) and I managed to put a dozen items that fit and started styling.
Even though we Instagrammed (@kitsilanokittyscloset), Tweeted (@kitsilanokittys), and Facebooked (http://www.facebook.com/KitsilanoKittysCloset) the s**t of of this event each day, following is a rundown of looks achieved and links to the KKC boutique website if the item is currently available. Items with no link have not cleared inventory yet and can be inquired about by emailing us at kitsilanokittyscloset @ yahoo.ca.
