Sources say that Swiss luxury timepiece brand Jaeger-LeCoultre will open its first Canadian boutique in Vancouver. Formerly occupied by Fogal of Switzerland, the small retail space at 1012 Alberni Street is book-ended by Mephisto and Pandora and is confirmed to be the new location.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is the latest luxury brand to land in Vancouver. The upscale Alberni Street continues to advance as a world-class shopping luxury zone. Sources also say that a number of other world-class brands are actively seeking retail space in the area, and that a number have already signed leases for retail space on Alberni Street and neighbouring Thurlow Street.

Founded in Switzerland in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre is now a subsidiary of luxury goods conglomerate Richemont. In addition to the brand being carried in upscale retailers across North America, Jaeger-LeCoultre has eight locations in the United States. New York City and Las Vegas each have one free-standing Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique. Four locations are in the Miami area (Aventura, Bal Harbour, Miami Design District, Palm Beach), and two are in the Los Angeles area (Beverly Hills and South Coast Plaza). World wide there are 60 Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques in prestigious locations around the world.
Representatives from Jaeger-LeCoultre declined to comment on this article but they did confirm its Alberni Street location.
