Luxury brand Dior celebrated the opening of its first stand-alone Dior and Dior Homme Vancouver boutiques last night with a spectacular party complete with never-ending flutes of Moet & Chandon champagne, savoury hors d’oeuvres, miniature macaroons and lemon tarts created by Culinary Capers. Dior representatives from all over North America and from Paris, COO Serge Brunschwig, were on hand meeting and greeting Vancouver’s VIP shoppers, personalities and celebrities. DJ Brendan Fallis played selection of classic favourites in front of the immense video wall installation by multi-media artist Yorum.
Guests arrived either through the main Dior doors and the Dior Homme entrance in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. From there the invite only guests were greeted with trays of champagne and sipped their way around the first floor admiring the selection of women’s accessories, luxury bags in a multitude of colours, exquisite fine jewelry and watches. The chrome and glass stairwell led to the upper level revealing luxurious yet versatile ready-to-wear, eveningwear and footwear which included hot pink beaded running shoes and retro knee-high boots in emerald green.
Dior Homme is adjacent to Dior and is accessible via an interior walk-through and includes ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear, leather goods, watches, jewelry, and fragrance, with dedicated in-store sections each for small leather goods, sunglasses, shoes, ready-to-wear and watches. Decor consisted of black shelving with bright white lighting – Dior Homme is an exercise in uber-clean minimalism which focuses on the fashion with nary a mannequin in sight.
Congratulations to Dior and their amazing associates for launching their Vancouver flagship with such class and elegance.
