9th Annual ‘Cause We Care’

At this time of year so many worthy organizations are hustling for visibility and support that it is difficult to know where to turn our attention. Here is a cause that puts food on the table and gives warm clothing to those in need in the Lower Mainland.

Over the last eight years, Cause We Care has successfully aided frontline organizations by delivering 5,282 hampers to low-income families across the Greater Vancouver area. Cause We Care’s Christmas hamper drive has recently become the largest initiative of its kind in Vancouver. The holidays can be an extremely trying time for single mother-led families in Vancouver. Cause We Care aims to relieve some of the stress these mothers are faced with by providing basic household necessities, food and simple but heartfelt gifts so that they can focus on enjoying the company of loved ones.
“The holidays can be a very difficult time for these families,” says Laura Reynolds, North Shore Crisis Services Society. “With the help of organizations like Cause We Care Foundation, we have been able to provide families in need with food, household products and gifts that can sustain them through the holidays and offers them some well-needed Christmas cheer.”
Support Cause We Care and mothers in need this holiday season by getting involved in the following initiatives:

For every online $65 donation at www.causewecare.org, a hamper will be delivered to a local family in need. Volunteers can assist with stuffing and delivering hampers on December 8th for Cause We Care’s 9th Annual Christmas Hamper Drive. Special thanks goes to Save On Foods (Cambie Street), Army & Navy and Purdy’s Chocolatier for their many years of continued support. Thanks to Aritzia for keeping mothers and children warm through the winter with donated gloves and toques; thanks to AG Hair products for supplying a special treat for the mothers this holiday season and many thanks to Dueck Auto Group for providing cargo vans for hamper deliveries.
